Perfectly Imperfect Produce Boxes
Hello! Welcome to my blog! Since recently moving to Ohio, I am loving Perfectly Imperfect Produce's weekly surprise boxes. Each Thursday I get a box of produce delivered to my door. I don't know what is going to be in the box until I open it! Then I get to work, meal plan for the week, and share with you what I made. Follow along! I have attached a link to each of the boxes below!
Perfectly Imperfect Produce is a Cleveland company that eliminates food waste and helps others eat more fruits and vegetables. PIP boxes up fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste and ships it to your door. Typically, a lot of produce gets thrown away because the farmers have more than the grocery stores need, or the produce doesn't match the grocery store's appearance requirements. Even though the produce is still good, fresh, and perfectly fine to eat, it normally ends up in the landfills. So to eliminate food waste, PIP rescues the produce and sends it to your door! You get to choose your size of box and if you want fruits, vegetables, or a combination of both. Because they load the box with what is fresh that week, you get a variety of in-season fruits and vegetables. In addition, Perfectly Imperfect Produce donates fruits and vegetables to the local food pantries with every box purchased. I love how PIP helps me eat healthily, eliminate food waste, and be creative all while helping those in the community.
