Blueberry Galette

Blueberry Galette

A galette is like an easier version of a pie, and this blueberry galette is delicious!  I discovered galettes my sophomore year of college, and this blueberry one is my favorite.   With a refrigerator pie crust and a quick blueberry filling with cream cheese, this easy dessert will be gone in no time.

Start with blueberries, lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, and a sprinkle of salt to make the filling.  Cream cheese, nutmeg, and an egg yolk whipped together make the center.  Place half the cream cheese mixture on the rolled out pie dough then cover the cream cheese with the blueberries.  Fold in the sides, top with the rest of the cream cheese mixture, brush the crust with an egg wash, and sprinkle sugar on top.  Into the oven it goes at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.  Done and delicious!  Link to the recipe below!  Enjoy!
